Identified Canadian World War One Nursing Sisters Belt (Lt. E. J. McIntosh)

Purchased directly from family, the belt is named to E. J. McIntosh of Guelph, a graduate nurse who enlisted in the Nursing Sisters July of 1918 serving until June of 1919.

Constructed of olive drab wool and leather the field cap or Sen-bou was in use by the Imperial Japanese Army prior to the Second World War until the end of the war. Stripped of insignia, a cracking doubled chin strap is held in place by the remains of two buttons.

Manufactured in 1945 by Glisson & Miller, the size 4 suit easily fits a 6 foot stature. Though not easily seen in the photo, the broad arrow mark is partially hidden by the fold at the bottom seam of the tag. The many period appropriate repairs as photographed suggest this suit was used quite extensively but cannot be certain of when.

Post World War One Canadian Other Ranks Service Dress Cap

Constructed of drab wool, the cap features a single piece crown and four piece body stitched to the main band. The band is flanked by two period "Canada" brass buttons that hold a doubled over supple leather chinstrap in excellent condition.
