Handcrafted from Italian marble, each book end measures approximately 14cm by 9cm by 4cm. Chiseled into the centre of each book end is the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals insignia topped by the King’s crown. Above, a scroll etched “Mother” while below “Italy 1944-45”. Each book end appears to have a chipped corner but the chiseled artwork remains in excellent condition. A truly unique piece of civilian created trench art.
