An issued Second World War service and pay book belonging to a member of the Canadian Woman’s Army Corps. Enlisting in 1942, Ruth completed basic training in Kitchener, Ontario. Ruth would complete two additional driving courses in 1943 to become a driver. Before enlisting, it would appear Ruth married a Cpl. Ireson from the 1st Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders taking his last name. An excellent opportunity for further research of a rarely seen C.W.A.C. pay book.
