Active since 1891, the Toronto 48th Highlanders of Canada have one of the most illustrious histories in the Canadian Forces through the 20th century. During the Second World War the Regiment would see action during the invasion of Italy moving to North West Europe before the end of the war. Featured are an assortment of button, shoulder titles, and collar badges from this period. The three buttons feature the 48th crest on the front, while marked and manufactured by Smith Wright Limited of Birmingham. The seven shoulder titles feature no maker mark, and unfortunately each is missing a single of the two lugs. Like the shoulder titles, the “collar dogs” do not feature any maker mark. Despite this they retain beautiful colour and detail, a perfect matching set with cotter pins.
